Welcome to Kimberly Court Apartments


Kimberly Court Apartments were built in 1962 and consist of a mix of 18, 1 and 2 bedroom, units.  The property sits at the corner of Sonoma Ave and Church Street which is just a half a block from Montgomery Village Shopping Center.  You can see Montgomery Village from many of the units balconies and even from the parking area.

This ideal location makes for each shopping by either bus, car or a short walk across Farmers Lane.  There are banks, a grocery store and numerous restaurants to enjoy at Montgomery Village.

For the past year many of the units and much of the exterior has been remodeled with plenty of work yet to be done.

The current owners purchased the property in March of 2007 and have remodeled 6 of the 18 units so far.  The remodeling consists of completely gutting the interior of each unit, removing the old windows, the old heat and air conditioning and replacing everything right down to the entire electrical system.

Many of the older units are in good condition and won’t be remodeled anytime soon but the ones that still need to be remodeled are being done so as they become vacant.

Each of the newly remodeled units include all new windows made by Milgard with convenient security latches and double thick insulated windows which cut down on noise from the street and help keep the units warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

The new Heat and Air Conditioning units are highly efficient so they won't cost a bundle to operate in the cold or warm weather.  These were installed at a considerable cost for the convenience of our new tenants.

The units were built very well and at the time the materials used were considered particularly good while by todays standards they are very rare.  The floors are concrete so you hear almost nothing from your neighbors.  The walls are double built meaning there is a complete, separate wall for each unit or 2 walls between each apartment.  This helps eliminate noice and helps with insulation.

Each unit has insulation in the ceiling which cuts down on your heating and air conditioning costs substantially.  Most buildings built in the 60’s didn’t use insulation because energy was considered very inexpensive.

The property consists of a common courtyard with patio furniture and a shade arbor.  The grounds are well maintained and have a variety of plants including roses and daisies.

Included in your rent is both water and garbage but also hot water.  That’s right.  You have on demand hot water for free which means your save the cost of operating a hot water heater year-round.

There are many less expensive places to live and for the budget minded person we understand that’s where you’ll want to look but if you are looking for a small community of good neighbors and a fine property with excellent management, yet with a premium cost, then you should find it worth your time to explore living here.

Laundry


There are 3 full size front load washers and 5 full size front load dryers.  This helps keep washers free by allowing for an open dryer at all times to move clothes into when they’re done in the washer.  Costs are of the laundry are typical for vended washing machines at $1.25 per wash and $.75 per dryer load.
